A bit of a break from just leaves & trees... although technically, there are still autumn leaves here. It's somehow amazing how there are still flowers blooming, but then it has been like Indian summer presently. So, on with the color:
It was serendipitous that there happened to be a ladybug puttering around on the sweet gum. And that bird taking off to flight as I was taking my shot was a bit of a delight...
This last one is for sheer gluttony. I have now made my first pumpkin pie. Of course, being of the slacker generation, I did not hand mash a pumpkin or something exotic or earthy like that. Yeah, it's Libby's "Easy Pumpkin pie mix" - yeah, not "pure pumpkin" — I mean the stuff that you just add eggs and concentrated milk. Of course, I did dress it up with top layer of cream cheese with sugar, garnished with walnuts and cinnamon, and made a graham cracker crust.
It's delicious; and I'm not exactly a fan on pumpkin pie. I'm generally that person at Thanksgiving who buries the pumpkin pie under a heaping helping of whipped cream...

Yum.....I'm a huge fan of pumpkin pie--as long as it's smothered in whipped cream! Your pie looks delicious, and with the added ingredients, extra yum! Hmmm...you've inspired me to try a little pie making. I'm not very good at that sort of thing...
Oh Sarah!!!! That red leaf with the ladybug is amazing!!!
Do you have prints of that??????
I love it!
The leaf with the ladybug is so beautiful! Not a fan of pumpkin pie, either, and afraid even a smothering of whipped cream couldn't convince me, lol! Yours looks tasty, though. Didn't even know they had a mix for that. Thanks for your nice comments, too:-)
Beautiful colors - love the purple and the ladybug! And that pie - yummmmm....
That pie looks to be worthy of being demolished without need of a topping. Yum! Love the ladybug shot.
Look at your beautiful purple!!! All I can see is white this morning here... :(
Your pie looks very yummy!
Happy Day Sarah!
